Happy Birthday … to Me!

Friday was my birthday. For those keeping count (not me), that makes 37. Wow. Where does the time go?

Like most birthdays, it was just another day. I didn’t do anything special for the day. I did take the evening off of work, so that was nice. Things there continue to be slow. I couldn’t see the point of going in and trying to look busy for 8 hours. I do that just about everyday, but not on my birthday.

I also had to get my license and tag renewed, and of course, I waited until the last minute. I had intentions. Good intentions, I tell you, to just do it online. But by the time I thought of it, it was too late. It can take as long as 2 weeks to get your tags through the mail. So, I went down to the local Secretary of State office and took care of it there. It was busy, but I didn’t have to wait more than 10 – 15 minutes tops. I was surprised however, when it came time to check my vision, that I now need my glasses to drive. My first driving restriction. Oh, I’m sure there are many more to come.

I decided to torture myself, and stopped in at the local Dodge dealer. I test drove a 2009 Dodge Journey. it was quite nice. So much so, I think this one may be the one I have been looking for. My biggest concern of getting in and out of the vehicle is answered with this one. I don’t really want another full size truck with the way fuel cost are these days, and I’m tired of having to duck each time I get in and out of a car. Even though I liked this one, I decided to leave it there, for now. I like to thing these things over. Oh, I also sat in the new 2008 Dodge Charger. It’s definitely not me, but boy, it was nice. Trouble would follow me everywhere, I’m sure.
